Gout Clinical Research Study

RUBY Gout Research Study

The RUBY Study is a clinical research study evaluating how effective and safe the investigational study drug dotinurad may be for treating gout compared with allopurinol. The study is intended for adults who continue to experience gout flare-ups despite taking allopurinol.

Who may qualify for the RUBY Study?

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Are 18 to 75 years old.
  • Have been diagnosed with gout for at least one year.
  • Have experienced at least two gout flares during the last 12 months.
  • Have taken the same dose of allopurinol for at least three months.

Additional eligibility requirements apply. The study team will review your health history and study criteria to determine whether you may qualify.

What may qualified participants receive?

Qualified participants may receive either dotinurad or study-supplied allopurinol, monitoring from the study team throughout the study, and reimbursement for reasonable study-related travel and meal expenses. Study-related care may be provided at no cost.
